Emergency Electrician
When the power quits or an outlet starts arcing, waiting until Monday is not an option. BroadMoor Electric Solutions runs a 24 hour dispatch line for California and the surrounding your County area, so a real person answers at 2am and an electrician is on the way with the parts to make it safe tonight.
Total or partial power loss
Half the house dark, one room dead, or nothing at all — we trace it from the meter inward.
Breaker that keeps tripping
We find the overload, short or failing breaker instead of resetting it and hoping.
Sparking or scorched outlets
Arcing receptacles get cut off, replaced, and the branch circuit tested end to end.
Burning smell with no visible source
Thermal and voltage testing to locate hot joints, loose neutrals and failing devices.
Flickering or dimming lights
Usually a loose neutral, a bad connection or an overloaded circuit. All three are findable.
Panel noise, heat or smoke
Buzzing and warm breaker faces mean the panel needs immediate attention.
Water damage to electrical
Post-leak or post-flood shutdown, drying, testing and safe re-energizing.
Storm and outage damage
Service mast, meter base and feeder repairs after wind, rain or a downed line.

Electrical Panel Upgrade
Most homes in California were wired for a fraction of the load they now carry. Add an EV, a heat pump and an induction range to a 100 amp panel and you run out of capacity long before you run out of ideas. A service upgrade gives you headroom, working space and modern breaker protection.
100 to 200 amp service upgrade
New panel, meter main, grounding and bonding brought up to current code.
Breaker box replacement
Like-for-like swaps when capacity is fine but the equipment is failing or obsolete.
Fuse box removal
Retire the fuses, keep the house wiring, gain real overcurrent protection.
Zinsco and Federal Pacific swaps
Panels with known failure histories replaced with current-listed gear.
Sub panel installation
Feed a garage, ADU, shop or addition without overloading the main.
Meter main combos
Utility-facing equipment replaced along with the service entrance conductors.
Grounding and bonding repair
Ground rods, water bond and neutral separation corrected.
Circuit directory and labeling
A typed, accurate panel schedule at the end of every job.

EV Charger Installation
A Level 2 charger turns overnight into a full battery. The install itself is simple; the part that goes wrong is capacity. We run the load calculation on your California panel first, then quote the charger, the circuit and any panel work as one number so there are no surprises after the drywall is open.
Tesla Wall Connector installation
Hardwired, load-shared where needed, and commissioned on your Wi-Fi.
Universal Level 2 chargers
ChargePoint, Grizzl-E, Emporia, Autel, Wallbox and other listed units.
NEMA 14-50 outlet installation
A 240V receptacle for portable chargers, welders or a future hardwired unit.
Load calculation and panel check
Done before we quote, so the circuit actually fits your service.
Panel upgrades for EV capacity
When 100 amps will not carry the car, we handle the service upgrade too.
Long conduit and trenched runs
Detached garages, carports and driveway pedestals.
Dual charger and load sharing
Two cars on one circuit using the manufacturer's power-sharing setup.
Multi-unit and workplace charging
Small commercial and HOA installs with metering considerations.

Whole House Rewiring
Rewiring is the least glamorous and most consequential electrical work there is. In older California neighborhoods we still find knob and tube, cloth-insulated conductors and ungrounded two-prong outlets carrying loads nobody imagined in 1948. A rewire replaces the wiring itself rather than patching around it.
Whole house rewiring
New copper branch circuits, grounded devices and a labeled panel throughout.
Knob and tube replacement
Removal of legacy open wiring and the splices hidden in the attic.
Aluminum wiring remediation
Pigtailing with listed connectors or full replacement of branch circuits.
Partial and phased rewires
Kitchen, bath and bedroom circuits done in stages on a budget.
Ungrounded outlet correction
Real grounds instead of a three-prong cover on a two-wire circuit.
Cloth and rubber insulation replacement
Brittle mid-century wiring pulled out and replaced.
Circuit separation
Splitting overloaded shared circuits into dedicated ones.
Drywall access and patching coordination
Minimal, planned openings with patch-ready edges.

Generator Installation
Public safety power shutoffs and storm outages have made backup power a practical purchase in California, not a luxury. We size standby generators against a real load calculation, install the automatic transfer switch, coordinate the fuel connection, and commission the unit so it actually starts when the grid drops.
Whole house standby generators
Air-cooled and liquid-cooled units with automatic start on outage.
Automatic transfer switch installation
Whole-panel or essential-circuit switching, wired and tested.
Load management
Priority shedding so a smaller unit still runs the AC and the well pump.
Manual transfer switch and interlock kits
The affordable route for an existing portable generator.
Generator pads and mounting
Level, drained, code-clearance placement away from windows and vents.
Fuel line coordination
Natural gas and propane hookups scheduled with the gas fitter.
Sub panel for essential circuits
A backed-up panel holding only what has to stay alive.
Commissioning and exercise testing
Load-bank style verification and a walkthrough of the controller.

Lighting Installation
Lighting is the electrical work you see every day. We lay out recessed cans on a real spacing plan rather than eyeballing it, use dimmers that match the driver so nothing buzzes or flickers, and cut ceiling openings with the patching in mind. California homes and offices both get the same care.
Recessed lighting installation
Laid-out can and wafer lighting with dimming that does not flicker.
Light fixture installation and replacement
Chandeliers, pendants, flush mounts, vanity bars and heavy fixtures.
Outdoor and landscape lighting
Path, uplighting, soffit, security and patio lighting on timers or photocells.
Under-cabinet and cove lighting
Low-profile LED with hidden drivers and clean switching.
LED retrofit and lighting upgrades
Old fluorescent troffers and cans converted to efficient LED.
Dimmer and smart switch installation
Correct dimmer for the driver, and three-way circuits sorted out properly.
Shop, garage and warehouse lighting
High-output linear and high-bay fixtures on dedicated circuits.
Ceiling fan and combo fixtures
Fan-rated boxes, bracing and remote or wall control.

Electrical Repair & Troubleshooting
Most electrical repairs are really diagnostic jobs. A dead outlet is a symptom; the cause is a failed device three rooms away, a back-stabbed connection or a loose neutral in a junction box someone drywalled over. We charge for the fix, not for the guessing, and we trace faults methodically.
Dead outlet and circuit diagnosis
Traced from the panel through every device on the branch.
Breaker replacement
Failed and nuisance-tripping breakers matched to the panel bus.
Switch and receptacle replacement
Worn, loose, burnt and painted-over devices swapped out.
GFCI and AFCI troubleshooting
Nuisance trips isolated to the real cause, not just a device swap.
Loose neutral and open ground repair
The cause behind most flickering, dimming and shock complaints.
Junction box and splice correction
Buried, overfilled and unsupported boxes made accessible and legal.
Outdoor and wet-location repairs
Corroded devices, failed covers and water-intruded circuits.
Appliance circuit repair
Range, dryer, HVAC and well pump circuits restored.

Outlet & Switch Installation
Not enough outlets is the most common complaint in California homes, and extension cords are the wrong answer to it. Adding receptacles properly means finding a source circuit with capacity, fishing the wire, and installing boxes that are supported and accessible — not surface-mounting a strip and hoping.
Extra outlet installation
New receptacles fished into existing walls with minimal patching.
GFCI outlet installation
Kitchen, bath, garage, laundry and exterior protection.
AFCI protection
Arc-fault breakers or devices for bedroom and living area circuits.
Dedicated circuit installation
Microwave, fridge, freezer, office, treadmill and shop tool circuits.
240V appliance circuits
Range, dryer, wall oven, welder and hot tub feeds.
Hot tub and spa electrical
Disconnect, GFCI protection and correct burial or conduit run.
Switch, dimmer and smart switch installs
Including three-way and multi-location control.
Outdoor and weather-resistant receptacles
In-use covers, correct wet-location devices, patio and yard power.

Smart Home Wiring
Smart home projects fail on wiring, not on apps. Most older California switch boxes have no neutral, no ground and no room for a smart device. We add what the hardware needs, install it, and set up the switching so the automation is reliable instead of a hobby.
Smart switch and dimmer installation
Including adding neutrals and sorting out three-way circuits.
Neutral wire additions
The single most common blocker for smart switches in older homes.
Video doorbell wiring
Correct transformer, chime bypass and hardwired power.
Camera and PoE wiring
Hardwired exterior and interior cameras with network runs.
Structured network cabling
Cat6 drops, patch panel and a tidy equipment location.
Smart lighting scenes and keypads
Multi-location control that guests can actually operate.
Sensors, locks and thermostat wiring
Occupancy, leak and contact sensors, plus C-wire additions.
Smart panel and energy monitoring
Circuit-level monitoring and controllable breaker systems.
